I think if it's happening they will announce the show next week for Jan 15-18. Also have a gamepass showing, Redfall and starfield gameplay and date, possibly Hi-Rush reveal or whatever. That's the maximum I expect xD Can't wait tho

Same. Get the feeling the plan is for these smaller Nintendo direct like shows to be quarterly, with the exception being Summer which will be the big E3 showcase instead. Q1, Q2, Q4 direct like shows will be primarily focused on games releasing in that quarter with a few from the next quarter shown as well.

So for this Q1 show, the games most likely be the shown are the ones we already know are scheduled for the first half of 2023. Maybe an AoE 2 DE Xbox demo showing off the console UI ahead of the release later this month, maybe a new Ara trailer with a release date, maybe a release date for the Goldeneye remaster, maybe new gameplay for Redfall and a release date, possibly new gameplay for Starfield and a release date, possibly new gameplay for Forza Motorsport and a release date, possibly the reveal for Forza Horizon 5's 2nd expansion and a release date for it, possibly a new trailer for Minecraft Legends and a release date. Possibly a few 3rd party trailers if Xbox has marketing rights for them, possibly a new ID@Xbox montage. They will also announce the Gamepass games for January (hence why the typical Gamepass January update #1 dates have both passed with no reveals), probably alongside the announce that we will no longer be getting 2 Gamepass updates per month (since there was no 2nd update in December and now no first update in January), but instead 1 larger update per month. And they may announce one or two of their other games expected to land in 2023, such as HiFi Rush from Tango or Project Belfry from Stoic. Probably 25-30 minutes at most, hopefully packed with games, none of that talk your ear off stuff from those old Inside Xbox shows this new format is set to replace.

What I don't think we will see is any games that are releasing past Q2 2023, unless it is a teaser trailer reveal for something brand new releasing later in 2023 only (such as HiFi Rush or Belfry). Would be shocked if we saw anything like Avowed, Hellblade 2, Project Mara, Fable, Gears 6 or Coalition's smaller new IP, Perfect Dark, Everwild, Project Cobalt, Project Suerte, Project Shaolin, Project Dragon, State of Decay 3, Halo Infinite battle royale or the campaign expansion or the Halo side game, Indiana Jones, Wolfenstein 3, id's next game, TES 6, or Contraband.
