Solid PS5 week for God of War launch, though nothing crazy.
Switch still won the week I guess simply by shipping more systems than normal (and some people picking up Christmas presents early).
Will be interesting to see what kind of numbers PS5 can put up these holidays given that they apparently have a bunch of extra stock stored up for the holidays unlike last year, just had one of the few really huge releases so far on the system, and at two years old now PS5 should be starting to move into the best part of its sales lifecycle.
It's not even Pokemon week yet. Switch outsells PS5's big holiday release the week before its own big holiday release...damn! And it sounds like this could possibly be the largest pokemon launch of all time, or at least very close to it. Switch doing 463k with no big game this week and in the last week before holiday season starts is a great sign for Nintendo. Next week is going to be huge for Switch with the Pokemon launch. Then Black Friday after that. Then a few more weeks of Chirstmas holiday sales. Probably 2 weeks until Switch passes PS4, and probably 4 weeks (maaaybe 3) until it passes GB to move into 3rd place all-time.
