It has been a long way down for Super Meat Boy, but it's finally managed to *stay in place* after 6 straight years of moving down the list. It's pretty clear I don't rate this game as much as when I started doing this, but it's still a great platformer, with tight, fast and responsive controls that changed the expectation of what movement would be like in this genre - it inspired the Ori games into existing, and for that alone I'll always be grateful. It was also elevated by a phenomenal soundtrack by Danny Baranowsky, that is, before it all went to shit between him and the devs. Maybe if I could have in on the Switch or something with the original music, I'd still be having fun with it, but it is what it is.
P.S.: Apparently people have modded the original soundtrack into the Switch version. Hmmm...
