Lol, I just heard Embracer tried to hype up the fact that Saints Row reboot hit 1m players (not sales) in the first 2 months. Thing is, that is staggeringly poor for the series. Saints Row 3 sold over 900k in the first week on just 360 and PS3 (well over 1m first week sales if you include Steam as well), and it went on to sell over 8m copies lifetime on PS3/360/PC (not including what the remaster sold). Saints Row 4 meanwhile sold over 800k first week on just 360 and PS3, again over 1m first week with steam included as well), and it went on to sell over 5m copies lifetime on just 360/PS3/PC, and if you include the PS4/XB1 ports it sold over 6m lifetime. Saints Row reboot is trending well below every earlier mainline game in the series. Embracer may be right that it will reach break even point eventually, but just barely breaking even is still a flop in my eyes, for a series as big as Saints Row.

I just hope that Gearbox straightens them out and gets them working on a proper new SR game, instead of letting them continue with this reboot cast or making them a Borderlands support studio or something.
