Nintendo is making loads of money right now so that attitude is easy to have.

In the snes era they were attacking the genesis with ads (after sega attaced them in commercials) saying that you don't need a 32X to play amazing looking games on the snes and saying how sports games are better on the snes.

So they cared how their public image appeared...

Its easy to pretend you are untouchable when you're number 1...infact its part of the role of being number 1.

Agreed and also why is it impossible to be innovative and still listen to your fans? This is the first generation that I don't own the Nintendo console. To me the Wii is less innovative then other people make it out to be. Smash Brothers, Pokemon, Mario Kart I've been playing these games for years to be honest I may have outgrown them. Nintendo doesn't care what I think though because Wii fit cash is just as green as the cash I would have dropped on a new earthbound game.

It's just disapointing when you've been a fan of a company for 22 years and it becomes obvious that they don't give a damn.

But that's business.
