Pretty crazy performance jump coming

So the mobile RTX 4090 is actually based on the cancelled unlaunched 4080 12GB. Considering that that one already had troubles keeping up with the 3090 in raster on desktop in NVidia's own slides and will need to run with much less power, it looks like AMD could actually have the stronger mobile GPUs this time around if these rumors are true. If the AMD GPU is also consuming less power and not too far behind in raytracing, they could actually gain some market share in mobile, where outside of APUs and mobile workstations AMD GPUs are a very rare sight right now.

It wouls be an interesting combination. What would last more, the battery or the plastic housing of the laptop?

The housing, as Intel and NVidia will mandate metal housing and external water cooling for those laptops.
