Bayonetta 2 sold 1.9 Million between both platforms it released on. Even if you count double dippers that still probably is about 1.5 million unique purchasers assuming half of Wii U buyers of the game double dipped. 

The game isn't niche any more, which is probably why they did offer the $15-20k (well above the Equity union rate in Britain of about $7k for 5 days.) 

What is the source on the sales numbers for Bayonetta 2 on Wii U?
