Kirby does the same thing ^^; Though Kirby's U-air doesn't go nearly as fast.
It doesn't do it if you C-stick the aerial though. I don't use the attack button for any directional aerials, I always use the C-stick in the air. The only time I don't use it is for neutral air, since its pretty damn hard to C-stick a neutral air on the fly.
