If they wanted to give a no disclosure reason without faulting her they could even go to "we didn't meet an agreement in the project" or even taking heat for it giving a reason that would fault themselves. But when you lie and shift blame it is expected to see backlash, well at least from the person that have been damaged, since we are seeing more people siding against her here.

I dont think most of us are siding against her. If I had any powers in this, I would give her more money because I think she is worth it. I love her voice as Bayonetta. But its not up to us. Sure PG could have given a better response, but I still dont see how they blamed her. Thats what YOU read into the statement.

Well there have been plenty saying she was already making to much, that she shouldn't receive more, that they have waited to long to give a fuck about her, that other devs would be hit harder because of the boycott and they deserve better than her, etc. Not saying you are part of this group, but yes there have been many siding against her "for working for money".

Yeah say nothing, because that worked wonders for the Bayonetta 2 exclusivity outrage.

Im trying to find the post where PG gives the reason, but the Helena video has just buried it. However I did see "various overlapping circumstances" That sounds like a generic PR answer to me. Dont see how that blames her. She wanted more than 4K, they didnt want to pay her that. Well isnt that a overlapping circumstance?

The Bayonetta 2 situation was completely different. No one was perjudiced un a personal level by that decision. They told the truth: they barked at many publisher's and none wanted to bring the project to life. Nintendo came in and paid for the game. End of the story. If fans didn't like the truth, that's on them.

And here you go:

https://comicbook.com/gaming/news/bayonetta-3-recast-hellena-taylor-jennifer-hale-nintendo-switch/

"Various overlapping circumstances made it difficult for Hellena Taylor to reprise her role".

I think it's pretty clear that they reffer to circumstances on Hellena's side. Not in general.

But either if they reffered to Hellena or if both parties had difficulties scheduling the recordings, as I said before those declaration are absolutely harmless to Hellena if they are true. The only way to make her this mad... Is if they aren't xD

I would say it is a lot of semantics in this case. I mostly don't see it as they saying she didn't want or made an effort to be on it. But yes I can see how someone would interpret like that.
