I was. Because on the thread celebrating the 1M they were giving the reason for it not being like the consoles (that sell like 5-12M on the first year) was that steamdeck could only be sold through their site to users that had accounts for a long time.
I don`t think the sales would be 10x over even if they had the production. Pricing isn't aggressive enough.
