That already happens. See USA using their veto to protect Israel whenever they're criticised for their treatment of Palestine. Or Russia vetoing any criticism of the Syrian government. Removing vetoes would actually prevent that, not cause it. Countries would then require a democratic majority to "do what they want", that sounds a lot better to me. |
Just realized that only the 5 permanent members even have a veto right. In my head it was like "if like 5 of the 15 would need to veto against a decision it would be already much better" but when there are only 5 who have that veto power...
