Still doing cross-gen in 2024 for games like this seems like a clear waste of resources since software sales on the PS4 and especially Xbox One are gonna be minuscule by then. For the game itself I would like to try this series at some point, it seems full of silly fun.

Perhaps they have not much ambition in the technical side so the porting for last gen isn't a hussle to them.

Perhaps though I think there's no way the return on investment on the last gen versions if they go through with them is gonna be good. It would be interesting to see how it runs on them though.
