Quarter 3 of 2022 is at 779k after 10 weeks, 1m for the quarter is a done deal maybe even 1.1m is possible. This would be a decent increase over last quarter and also a decent increase yoy over quarter 3 2021 which was 864k.

2022 Q1: 1358k - Q2: 840k - Q3: 779k after week 10

2021 Q1: 1745k - Q2: 1256k - Q3: 864k - Q4: 1714k

2020 Q1: 1700k - Q2: 967k - Q3: 1287k - Q4: 2003k

2019 Q1: 969k - Q2: 515k - Q3: 1035k - Q4: 1975k

2018 Q1: 671k - Q2: 497k - Q3: 595k - Q4: 1719k

2017 Q1: 557k - Q2: 484k - Q3: 768k - Q4: 1598k

Thank you for posting this.  It's pretty clear that 2022's Q3 is going to easy beat 2021's Q3.  I think it's pretty obvious that it's going to come below 2020's Q3 as well.  The real question is if 2022 can beat 2019's Q3.  A few weeks ago, I would have said no way, because that is when the Switch Lite released.  However, Splatoon 3 is a monster and Nintendo seems to have taken care of it's supply issues for the OLED.

It looks like 2022 has a good shot at having the second best Q3 for Switch.
