I know CM Punk feels he’s a natural heel but also thinks he has to ride out being a baby face because of the “currencyâ€Â he’s built up with the crowds from his career and returning after an extended absence.

In other words, and he’d hate to hear it (since I know he’s a Bret guy), but he’s like Shawn Michaels when he came back after half a decade. Like Shawn Michaels, he also has a faction of fans who will hate him no matter what, but a majority who like him no matter what.

I'll admit to not being a big fan of CM Punk, so I don't know how to feel about anything he does, but damn that media scrum was crazy. Never seen anything like it before in professional wrestling.

Thanks for the heads up, by the way. I just watched the media scrum. Loved the CM Punk part. Punk went full Jim Cornette in that one, it reminded me of old school King and old school Piper back where people argue to this day if that stuff was genuine or a work, or a work-shoot. Even stuff like Kaufman vs King, where it was more or less admitted to be a work has people going.

It’s why I like MJF so much, he’s obviously an act, but almost every big promo he does I’m wondering at the back of my mind “is this actually genuine vitriol?”

Anyway,

What’s being reported now is that there was a physical altercation between Punk and the Young Bucks backstage during the event with the Bucks. And all the discussion seems to be people wondering if this is real, a work, or a work-shoot.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
