I did own a Gamecube but before the Tokyo Game Show in 2005 I wasn't going to buy the "Revolution" ...

The reason for this wasn't that I didn't love my Gamecube, in fact the exclusives on the Gamecube were my favourite games of the generation, it was because I didn't think Nintendo could compete directly against Sony and Microsoft because they didn't fight fair. When I saw the Wiimote at TGS 2005 two things became instantly clear, it looked amazingly fun to use it and Nintendo found a way to change the rules in their favour.

I bought the Wii because I knew it would be a fun and unique experience which I would not be able to get anywhere else.
