They can also put out a date when it would be available for all people. Another thing to look for in the sentence is "accounts". Doesn't have to be a subscription, it can be accounts (ex. Nintendo account) but imo the effect would be less bcuz bots are easily created. Another way would be to make it where you can only buy from the previous console. Idk if they could do that but it's a "suggestion". This way, hardcore fans, rich gamers, content creators (the ones that buys from scalpers) can have their new console. Reason being once again, to decrease the buyers from the scalpers. Think logically, people aren't getting consoles currently because of scalpers anyways. If they can't get in a subscription service, they can wait. However, like I said in the (-) list, the problem is that companies can take backlash because customers don't care about logic. 

I simply don't care about preventing people from being stupid. 

If person A sells a ps5 to person B for $1500....  person B is the problem.   Willingness to pay over MSRP was created by person B and thus created the scalpers market.  

All people have to do is not pay over MSRP and scalping would stop....  literally that simple.  And if the counter argument is "people won't do this" then I'm sorry, people get what they deserve, a scalpers market.
