I double dipped huge on the WiiU with Virtual console games but have really tapered off on game spending this gen even before the economic downturn. Since the PS3 era I have bought many games that I have never played. I still have a bunch of unopened games for the WiiU that I will likely never get around to playing. So I have stopped double dipping but not really because of the economy.
