Well he died like twice in the original trilogy and just escaped Hades.

I beat the main story, but not all Valkyries. I had the fire one (and then the 'queen') left.
I liked the combat against bosses, but not regular enemies. Haven't played the original games, but from the looks of it, I may have preferred that combat system as well since it looks more like DMC.

Gotcha, yes I also prefer the gameplay of the original trilogy, hack and slash versus the new one that is more on souls like system. After you get your chains of olympus the combat get a little more hack and slash against mobs.
