Yes that was my opinion also at first, they shouldn't change a game from 2d to 3d.. but that was before Final Fantasy III DS.. It really felt if I was playing a new game.. Not only because of the graphics but also the little tweaks: nameless party characters were given new default names. They were given new personalities and background stories, and additional scenes were added to develop their individuality... they could develop Lucca better for instance.. or Robo.. I hoped Square would do the same like FFIII.. but it seems they won't.. |
FFIIIDS would have been shunned if they didn't make it seem like a new game. I think the only thng that has to be done for CTDS is a new localization that is more faithful to the Japanese script since certain details of the story had to be cut from the original SNES version due to space limitations.
