NPD data is aggregated by sites as IGN.After the last data Wii is at 10.2 ,X360 at 10.3 and PS3 had some 4.8 million.We have to remember this is only USA ,not Canada.Adding Canada it would add some 1 million Wii ,700K X360 and 350K PS3.
As to how it compares to Vgchartz you can see by yourself after those numbers.Wii overtracked by nearly 1million,X360 overtracked too by a big number but not as much and PS3 very close.
When I make my counts about worlwide userbases I always use NPD data for America to get a better idea.
