It seems like something disrupted Sony's supply line last year. Consider:
- The PS5 was outselling the PS4 launch aligned until June 2021 (won Sept NPD)
- Sony states they secured enough components to meet their 14.8M projection for FY21
- Sony revises their projection to 11.5M shipped for FY21
- Supply drastically improves at the start of FY22
