Console sales flop = Software sales flop. Where the best sold game is Elden Ring with barely 160K copies. If what you say were true,  we'll see PS5 games keeping at  the top 10, or at least, we'll see ps4 games who people wanted to play in PS5, but they couldn't and furthermore, they must have to play the past version...

This generation is different. Many people are buying the ps5 and xbox series just for the backwards capabilities, enhanced and free upgrades, gamepass, ps plus collection. I got both xbox series s and ps5 and the only ps5 or xbox game I bought physically was ratchet and clank. 

Ok... Good, I can get that... People get a ps5 to play PS4. It's reasonable...

But, why there is not PS4 games in the top? Japan is one of the country where physical market is still big, the digital market does not represent more of 35%. Why there are not, I dunno... A Horizon? A Death stranding? A ratchet and clank? A RE VIII? A damn Final Fantasy: Strange paradise (it is a FF)?

Why all of these games you can play both in ps4 and ps5, do not keep on the top?... Or at least, having more decent accumulated sales?

Lack of interest from Japanese people? Or Stock? Doubt about it...

I say again, all what you are saying simply makes no sense
