Games you like in series you hate

I suppose I don't really like Age of Empires, Age of Empires 3 or Age of Empires 4. But Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition is one of the best games ever made.

In about 2 weeks, yet another DLC will release with more campaigns and civs. Should be fun.
