GPU accelerated RAID calculations for storage is here

Luckily you only need potato GPUs for right now but if this tech ever increases in popularity, well add another form of technology that will increase GPU shortages in the future. This is not for consumers for now but maybe in the future.

Well, with AMD in the future also including GPUs in all their CPUs and how strongly the integrated GPUs have evolved, I think it's safe to say that it could be handled by the iGPU/APU going forward. I mean, the T1000 workstation GPU used is functionally just an MX450 for laptops, and the AMD 6000 series already beat that and Intel's Iris iGPUs are not far behind.

Of course, if you buy a CPU with its iGPU deactivated...

Edit: On Servers, they could use one chiplet for a GPU specifically for this (and the occasional video output if needed to monitor on a screen). Imagine a server with 10 CPU chiplets and 2 GPU chiplets, that should easily do the trick.
