True, but we don't need to make it any easier for them. It's one thing when it's just Putin making claims, it's another when it can be backed by actual comments made by the leader of the supposed enemy. Additionally, Biden's remark hardly benefits anyone, beyond raising spirits - but I don't think spirits are an issue anyway at the moment. SecondWar said:

I don't mean to imply there's any actions here either. But comparing Putin to Gaddafi doesn't seem like a suitable comparison to me. SecondWar said:

Russian does not need any ammo because they really do not care. What they care about is a concerted front where the EU and the west does not back down. That is why they keep pushing the Nuke subject. They already feel the US and EU are weak, mention nukes and they will run away. Mention holding out on Russia oil and they will back off. Some words by Biden means nothing unless there is steel behind those words, unless the US is ready to go toe to toe if they set foot on any NATO country. Putin gameplan is that they have nukes and they have energy resources. The US is weak to any talks on nukes and EU is weak to dependency on Russian Oil. The US and EU must come back and say we are ready to meet you anywhere and we will leave your energy resources to rot, have fun the world will turn its back on you until you remove the cancer that is destroying your nation.
There is no negotiation with Putin because he is not looking to negotiate unless there is enough opposition within Russia and without. Do not expect this incident to just go away even if they leave Urkraine, this is the start of a lot of BS until Putin is out of power. This is either a wake up call to everyone or just be prepared to see further such special operations from Russia.
