Tbh I think everyone's fed up with restrictions anyway. Going by data UK was heavily affected by the pandemic due to poor decisions and handling. So the number of infections and deaths is higher than the average in EU. To be fair it is quite liberal here in the UK, so the general populace wouldn't adhere to most restrictions/guidlines. Take lockdowns and border control for example.. they were so haphazardly planned, regulated and loosely enforced, the average person in the UK wasn't going to follow anyway. Like with face coverings guidelines.. most people in the UK didn't even bother or want to to use then until then enforced a mandatory 'fine' for not wearing one. Despite being effective in preventing the spread of disease, some choose even not to. Or idiots going for drinks at the pub during a pandemic, and tabloid newspapers/Twitter mobs calling for 'last drinks' before lockdown. Astonishing stupidity, but nothing was done.

So yeah poor handling overall, but the politicians and parties won't be held accounted for. Heck, they get away with throwing parties themselves (Mr Boris Johnson+co) during their own lockdown.

Honestly though after years of restrictions, enough is enough. Lockdowns are largely meaningless unless heavily enforced and they'd have to shut down all borders for years. Which isn't feasible at the least for economy or health of people and countries. There has been enough time and vaccines available for everyone to get their jabs. Granted it is sad that people are affected by Covid - especially in the long term, there's not much else we can but to ride it out now.
