The abuse and toxicity is what drove me out of teaching, I experienced some terrible stuff in a sales job I was in after, and the industry I'm in now (software developer, not gaming) I have encountered some cringe things in too. You want to talk about crunch? Talk to a special education teacher in October/November when IEPs/Re-Evals have to be completed by December 1st or the school losses money for the next year. The unpaid overtime is insane! So why is it such a big deal it is happening in the gaming industry? |
