In an effort to add something to the discussion I looked up the famitsu first week sales data for Switch and PS4 games.
Momotaro earned 113 points and sold 345,000 at retail first week [#15 best first week for Switch and PS4].
Next spot above it is Super Mario Odyssey which sold 511,000 first week.
Above that is Kingdom Hearts 3 on 640,000.
Maybe if this momentum continues we could see Kirby finish more than 30 points ahead of Super Mario Odyssey for COMG reservations and clear 500,000 on the Famitsu charts.
Edit: Kingdom Hearts 3 earned 455 points back in January 2019.
