They still went on to publish two sequels after it and the sales for all the trilogy games were pretty good. After Marvel's Avengers they still went ahead with Guardians. |
They also look at protential sales and with Tomb Raider they forecasted that the game could meet expectations, thats why they put the effort in. Its not always black and white though.
