Can't really help you, bud, but I concur that Microsoft has become a master in making verification such a long and annoying process. I've lost access to my Microsoft account twice due to lost phone numbers, and, in both occasions, I had to wait 30 days to change the number, and in those days I couldn't use their services.
My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.
