I am guessing the speculation about them wanting Bungie to work on converting Sony games to live service has to be absolutely correct, otherwise it seems like a huge waste of money. Especially considering that Bungie has come out and vehemently communicated that they are still independent and will remain multiplatform. Either way it's further confirmation that the industry is heading towards software as a service and less about hardware and exclusives.
