A good example is Moxley. He complained a lot about how the WWE scripted his promos. And, true he was given some awful stuff to say... but now that he is left to his own devices, his promos are kind of meandering and wandering. So, I get why they wanted to script him, even though their scripts blew.  

Yea, the scripts arent something to write home about but I just wish the long term plans were better.

What they did with Moxley at the end was messed up lol - the pooper scooper deal especially lmao

My issue is that they seem to be dropping the ball on the overwhelming portion of the people on the roster, all to boost up Brock, Goldberg, Reigns, and Rollins. Nobody else seems to get any actual respect or ever come out on top. It makes you never want to invest in stories because you never feel there will be a good payoff. 

I can't say the same about AEW. sure, some stories go nowhere or are given up on before the conclusion, but I feel satisfied more often than not. you just don't get things like the Adam Page redemption arc in WWE. You don't get in-match storytelling like you get from the entirety of the tag division. You don't get nearly enough interwoven storylines that cross factions and divisions. Everything in WWE seems shortsighted. good for cheap pops, but not good for longevity. 

WWE is like, junk food. It looks nice, it's got a satisfying crunch from time to time, it does the job, but it has no lasting impact. AEW is like a silky red velvet cake. Takes a bit more to get into, but far more satisfying. Or not, now that I think about it, even the WRESTLING in WWE is pretty subpar. The wrestlers are good, they have a hell of a roster and I don't begrudge anyone in WWE except Brock (seriously, how do people like watching him? He's so BORING! he USED to be amazing, but now he's just bland and repetitive). it's the writing that's bad. It's the promos that are bad, and since they don't get enough time in the matches, the in-ring storytelling is basically nonexistent. I saw more story in a nearly wordless Bryan Danielson vs Adam Page 60-minute draw than I have in the last 5 years of WWE combined.
