Yeah I have noticed a lot of journalists reporting on the metaverse talking about Home and mentioning apart from not being in VR is a decade old and still looks better and like you said it really is worth looking at since at the very least it gives them a template for a future service and barriers like the loading and other tech  issues are mostly a thing of the past, plus the way we understand and interact with media has also changed, watching the doco and looking back it really was a precursor of things to come and showcased the the good and the bad.

Thinking about it more, it would be the perfect hub for all the small VR experiences. Integrate VR worlds into it, VR game demos, interactive music videos, a theater showing 3D movie previews. I loaded PS home up mostly for watching game trailers, faster and more successful than using the shitty web browser on ps3 lol. Exploring game areas was fun as well, but took so long to download and then load.

Time to take it out of the moth balls, modernize it a bit and launch as a starting hub for psvr2. Put a Beat Saber multiplayer venue in it and it will be an instant hit!
