I bought an NES for my brother for Christmas since I was also giving him The Legend of Zelda and Contra CIB from my NES collection.
I had also gotten myself a Super Retrobit Trio+ last month to play my NES, SNES, & Genesis carts in HD.
Meanwhile, my wife has given me a Vectrex, a Collectorvision Phoenix (plays Colecovision cartridges in HD), and a Nintendo Switch OLED in the past year. So, my household was definitely over the $1000 on hardware threshold for 2021.
