I would argue that Nintendo peaked with the N64. At least with first-party software, anyway. If you want to go companywide, obviously they peaked with the SNES, since that's the last time their third-party support was on-par or better than their competitors (only discussing home consoles here). So for me, the first time I saw a dip in their output was during the Gamecube era, and at the time, it was very depressing. Going from industry-busting, mind-blowing games like Mario 64 and OOT to Mario Sunshine and Wind Waker (both really good games, but not even close to as innovative as their N64 counterparts), was a huge smack to the senses, and very sobering. Because up until then, everyone pretty much thought they walked on water.
But since Gamecube, I really haven't seen a dip. Most of their software has pretty much been about the same (really good), with a few great ones thrown in as well, like BOTW, for example. So I really don't see a cause for concern.
