Imho Nintendo's sales target in Switch should be the combined sales of Wii and DS, since they lived during the same time. Less dosble since games are more involved to make and now DLC is more important than sequels, but some coefficient of that number would make sense.

In Japan, Wii sold 75.94M, DS sold 213.82. Combined that is 289.76.

Nes sold 225.86, Switch is at 128.35

Imho they need to put in a serious lifecycle 2-phase push, almost. 2nd launch, if they want to double their numbers over the course of the remaining 5 years of the cycle which starts in 3.5 months, on March 2022.

I will probably make a thread about this.

The Switch's software peak should be next year, so I'm confident that it'll reach at least 200mil software.
