Last year I played Hitman for the first time and subsequently it made my honorable mentions. A series I slept too long on. I should put Hitman III also on my evergrowing backlog.

I'd definitely recommend it to you. The story is very convoluted, but that's not much of an issue, since that's not the games focus.
