Sony isn't Sega they have enough money in the bank to stay in gaming for along time to come and the main reason that Sony is as popular as they are now is the PS2.
Price cut boosted sales on Amazon by 2800% this is a sign that times are changing and Ninja Gaiden Sigma has been released which is much better than the original and is amazing the graphics superb and it instantly grabs you in and you can't put it down.

But how long will the sales boost last?

I would wait at least a couple of weeks before I made the claim that these sales were a sign that "times are changing." The PS3 sold (roughly) 1 Million systems at $600 in Europe and (immediately) PS3 fanboys claimed that Sony owned Europe yet weeks later sales dropped off rapidly; the level of sales that the PS3 returns to will largely determine what the impact of the price drop was.
