I agree with you Liquid, this is a fantastic year. It is easy to lose sight of how big this year is when you compare it to Last year for the Switch or the DS. Here is a chart showing each console, how much they have sold up to nov 6, the switch is currently the third highest of all the years of all the consoles tracked by VGChartz.

Looks like Switch is less than 1m behind last year according to your chart.  That gap definitely has to widen though considering Nintendo had to adjust their forecast downward.  The demand is there.  The supply won't be there.  It will still be a good year regardless of that.
