I would have to dig up my N64 and the actual game to look at my records. Which I'm kind of curious to do actually.

Could never do the Wario Stadium wall-skip though, so my time on that one is nowhere near that. I did think that Moo Moo Farm was under a minute though, but I'm probably misremembering them .
Did you do the long jump in Rainbow Road at the start? Because that not a time for the whole thing right?

EDIT: Moo Moo Farm world record is 1:11:44, so definitely didn't do it under 1 minute lol.

I can do the wall jumps in Wario Stadium, but the second one where you skip from the middle of the course back to the finish line is pretty tough for me even now. VERY precise timing required! I only attempt that one in Time Trials. When I'm actually racing other people, I always use the first wall jump to skip the first half of the lap and the third one that you slide into. (There are four wall jump spots total in the course.)

That first wall jump though -- over the small inclines right in front of the starting line -- isn't that tough; you just have to slide normally into the wall, being sure to jump right as you'd otherwise run into it at the top of the incline. Powering up a mini-turbo helps. And don't use the rocket boost; the extra speed will stagnate your jump.

And yes, I used the long jump shortcut in Rainbow Road. I got under the programmer/play tester record of 4 minutes and 5 seconds printed in my player's guide by hitting the far guard rail such that you don't wreck, but rather maintain most of your speed, on all three laps. The world record for the course without shortcuts is 4 minutes and 52 seconds. I'm using the shortcuts in the Nintendo Power player's guide to get my records, and also a couple others that were discovered later in the cases of Frappe Snowland and Choco Mountain. I'm also just a lot better at executing the jump-through-the-wall trick in D.K.'s Jungle Parkway than the programmers and play testers apparently were 'cause I'm not doing anything that wasn't disclosed in the player's guide to get my records for that course. Unlike the world record holders though, I still have to rely on Lakitu putting me back in the cave because I'm not a god.

Then you’ve gotten pretty good if you can do all those things consistently, because they’re not easy.

I also had (have, somewhere) the Nintendo Power Guide, so I tried most shortcuts back in the day. I would get most at some point one time, but never with any reliability. Note I was between 10 and 16 when I played it most.

The Wario Stadium one around the start/finish I got like once or twice in total, and never the return jump. I basically never got any of the ones that cut basically the entire course like the Frappe Snowland one. I did get the Rainbow Road jump fairly consistently, but that one’s one of the easier ones of the really big shortcuts I think (making it over there anyway, not necessarily the guardrail thing), and the DK Jungle Parkway occasionally. I also remember one on Royal Raceway at the big booster jump I think and skipping some walls in Bowser’s Castle if I’m right.
