Calm down, he wasn't attacking Nintendo. You don't need research to come to the conclusion that a decent amount of people lie on their accounts to void any age restrictions. I and every kid I knew did this when we were underage, I am sure it happens across the board for Steam, MSFT, Sony, ect... Let alone this would be kinda hard to prove or disprove as you need people to admit to lying and I doubt anyone is seriously looking into it. There are numerous reported stories where kids used their parents credit card without their consent, while that is likely very rare in comparison, it's not hard to imagine kids just simply lying about their age on their account. It also makes sense why 21 sees such a spike. You don't need to do any math if you choose the year 2000 as a birth year because you know it's over 18. I bet a ton of people select 2000 as the birth year because who cares if you are selecting the right year, as long as it's over 18. I think I have done that a few times even though I am well over 21 now. That being said, I don't think the data is 100% skewed and the trendlines are most likely accurate. |

Yeah no this. Again I said the audiences were mostly accurate, just skewed because a large amount of kids will put adult ages so their arent any restrictions on their accounts. This is extremely common among most who make accounts at that age. It had absolutely nothing to do with the console war shit, yes Im sure the Xbox & Sony have equally skewed data lmfao |
