Not sure why the value (to the gamer) of gamepass is under scrutiny again. There's no denying the value proposition right now is immense to the subscriber. Yet that's normal for the customer acquisition phase of a new service. (Except for Stadia lol)
Still no numbers, only MS admitted not reaching their internal target for growth despite the games market experiencing it's highest growth recorded since 2012 (up +23.1% year on year, the highest growth for the Market since Newzoo began tracking revenues in 2012)
Although most of that growth is on mobile platforms, and of that growth, most is in casino games...
Anyway this would be the time gamepass would be experiencing explosive growth if it really was that desirable. If MS stays silent about subscription numbers after Halo and FH5 have dropped, it's not looking all that great. But I suspect we'll get some engagement numbers, hours played and peak subscriber count for the holidays. It would be useful to get revenue numbers, much easier to see where gamepass is going that way.
