Yeah that's what I feel is kinda strange actually. Both SIE and Sony Music are two divisions both wholly owned by Sony Group. Why would Sony Music act independently like that when SIE is the main branch for the game division and to make some Switch exclusives as well.
From a business stand point, it just seems weird to me is all. Especially after seeing Sony leverage their relationship with Marvel and Spiderman to get that IP exclusive to them for games and they only own the movie rights to that IP. Now with Demon Slayer, Sony has the movie rights and have game publishing rights through one of it's divisions even though it's not SIE. I would think Sony as a whole would be more ubiquitous among its different branches and at least published the game themselves in the West, especially with the amount of competition these days.
