Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - A few questions.

Hey everyone. I've repeatedly heard that Symphony of the Night is the best Castlevania-game in the series, and I'm planning on purchasing it off of XBLA. I just want to know first if there are any disadvantages or bugs that aren't present in the original version, or any extras in the original version that aren't present in the XBLA-version? Will I miss any of the overall experience if I play the XBLA-version instead of the PSX-version?
