| Signalstar said: That's just not true. I may not like Netflix original movies but they do spend a lot of money on them from time to time. The Irishman cost $200 million. Bright, Roma, Six Underground, and Red Notice are others. Netflix just spent $400 million for two sequels to Knives Out. Those are blockbuster figures. |
The Irishman was quite enjoyable, in 5 sittings that is. I've never even heard of the other ones. I'm currently struggling to get through some Japanese movie on Netflix, very much running out of things to watch. And I watch an hour at most daily.
If it was just me watching Netflix (in the house) I would cancel it and go back to tv. (Dr Death seems interesting, just started watching that) It's kinda nice to be able to understand the actors again without needing subtitles :)
Is that the future of game streaming services as well? Have to cater to a wider and wider audience as the user base grows, while old content to serve for cheap dries up and competition stiffens. The Irishman is already 2 years old, not exactly new content anymore.
