Ryuu96 said: Smoking, drug abusers and drinkers are all most likely addictions. Obesity can be caused by food addictions too, diabetics are shit out of luck, I wouldn't call any of them selfish Tbh and a few of them aren't exactly 'free' choices when it comes to addiction, they need help. Refusing to take a vaccine is not an addiction, it's fully, 100%, your own choice, made under sound mind, it's a selfish choice way more than any of those examples listed above, now I don't think they should be left to die but I do think the vaccinated, cancer patients, etc, should be given priority over them when it comes to hospital treatment which includes medication, bed space, etc. Can't have the hospitals endlessly slammed because some folk selfishly refuse to get vaccinated, cancer patients definitely deserve priority over someone who actively refuse the vaccine and then end up with a bad bout of Covid. The issue is determining who actually refused the vaccine and who just hasn't been offered it yet for whatever reason, so in practice I'm not even sure if it would work, I have a neighbour who didn't get the vaccine because he apparently couldn't due to medical issues, then I have a brother who refuses to get it just because (and he's fell into a bunch of conspiracy theory nonsense). Get the damn vaccine if you can, Lol. |
I agree with all this except the priority stuff. I got both moderna shots and will get the boosters when needed.
I'm against the lines being drawn, and who gets to draw the lines. I'm under the belief that all people are created equal and should be treated equally. It just seems some people are more equal than others. That is dangerous. Even idiots should be treated equally.
