I have a PS5 that I got in July. I was lucky enough to ask at my local store about a PS5 in June and was told that there was a shipment coming the following month and preorders were open. The following month my PS5 was in hand.
Ithink this just highlights how getting your console at the moment can be a matter of luck. I started looking for a PS5 in Feb/March and couldn't find a trace online but it was as easy as walking into the right store at the right time.
Regarding use, I do primarily game on my PS5 now over my PS4. However it is mostly PS4 games as I have a huge backlog and am waiting for PS5 games to drop in price.
