Your hyperbole is highly unwaranted.

ACNH support is weak.

Here's Nintendo's line up for this year:

1. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury

2. New Pokémon Snap

3. Miitopia

4. Famicom Detective Club

5. DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power

6. Game Builder Garage

7. Mario Golf: Super Rush

8. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

9. WarioWare: Get It Together!

10. Metroid Dread

11. Mario Party Superstars

12. Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp

13. Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain

The bolded are games from franchises or sub-franchises that previously weren't represented on the Switch. Several have quite literally been brought back from the dead. They clearly care about a lot of franchises.

The 2.65M number for DKCTF is as of December 31st 2019. As of mid 2020 it was at 2.93M. So it's clearly over 3M by now.

You had me at every game in your list except DC Superhero Girls, since it's just another substandard modern DC Comics cartoon turned into a game that nobody really cares about.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that other Nintendo franchises are being brought back this year for Switch, but Donkey Kong's absence this year still hurts because this year was his 40th anniversary. THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE GAME THAT MADE NINTENDO BIG IN ARCADES BACK IN THE EARLY 1980S!!!!!

And where did you see that as of mid 2020 Tropical Freeze was 2.93M?

Bold: I know nobody cares about it, but it exists.

I got it from Wikipedia before the edit was reverted because the source was considered unreliable. There were numbers up to June 2020 for all games that didn't get updated past 2019 or March 2020.

Just found the edit in question. It's in the Wiki article "List of best-selling Nintendo Switch video games". The link was just to a post on Resetera, the original source wasn't explicitly linked, but the numbers apparently come from an investor who asked for updated numbers.

That thread in general is very interesting.

May seem fishy, but that doesn't change that DKCTF definitely crossed 3M by now.
