Not trying to fan any flames or anything but I dissagre with the notion that all companies must do well. We cant keep suporting some of the worst outcomes in history because of the notion of competition. Cuz what we are doing is rewarding mediocrity and punishing Excellency. Especially when it's one of if not the most lucrative companies in the world. They don't need our support and have all the means to turn things around on their own.

Like you said. They have been promissing things for years now and still we have seen nothing from them. I would say untill we actually have content from them can we say that we would like to support competition. Cuz first and foremost a product needs to be competitive before you want to invest in it. Cuz right now xbox has no incentive to change of fans will just justify everything in the name of competition.

Oh, I'm just trying to be nice. I think Microsoft should become a third party studio as opposed to a first party manufacturer. Everything about their business practices scream 'The Xbox doesn't matter, just the brand does'. For years it's been clear that they don't care WHERE people play their games, just that people play them. So if they just went third party and put all their games on PS consoles and PC, it'd change the gaming landscape for the better.

Nintendo does innovation and quirk, Sony does performance and appeals to a wide crowd. Between the two (and PC for those who really care about customization and raw strength/power) it covers pretty much everything needed in a living room/bedroom.

I just like to genuinely wish Microsoft well because I'd rather they succeed than try and fail. But ideally, they'd just give up and consolidate their games on other platforms. If they're going to make a console, they really gotta step their game up and make something special. as it stands it's just a stronger Xbox One, where all the games are on PC anyway. Nothing about the series X is unique to it, so why even make consoles if it just costs them money? why do GamePass if it's an investment sink that isn't really doing much to pay off (They've said time and time again it's about long-term investment, not upfront profit).
