I'm having just as much fun with SSBB online as I was with MKWii...
I think online issues are the result of individual players having poor connections rather than a fault on nintendo’s part. Nearly every match I've had has been smooth. I've had a few slightly laggy and 2 absolutely unplayable - but when certain players drop out the connection speeds up again. I haven't had a single problem with friend matches either.
You have to remember SSBB's online system can't work like Mario Kart Wii. MKWii predicts where it thinks players are allowing for smooth online play. What if you thought you opponent was at the other side of a stage but they were actually right next you? That is essentially what happens on MK but the effects aren’t as obvious. Troubles only occur when aiming green shells and close finishes.
